It’s a unique privilege to be a consultant with the OUR LEGACY book series, where we offer you the exclusive opportunity to pen your long-awaited Legacy memoir. Whether it’s the story of your business growth and success or the cherished stories of your parents and grandparents, you can immortalize these narratives for future generations.
My career as a ghostwriter is not just a profession but a passion deeply rooted in my history. I've been a writer since I was ten years old. My business career includes forty years as a project manager in Information Technology and a real estate broker/owner. My skills, degrees, certifications, and entrepreneurial ventures have all led me to this point, where I can help you write your story.
One inspiration for my career is my great-grandfather, who wrote a legacy memoir about his experiences starting a wool and fur trading business in Dodge City in the late 1800s. He and his brother Ben grew their company to a multi-million dollar success. They weathered the storms of economic upheaval, World War I, the government claiming all their product for the troops, severe weather, and a global economy. Even though his desired audience was men starting in the business, I love his story and appreciate how he sprinkled personal and family stories throughout the content.
Another inspiration is growing up in Northbrook, IL; in the early 1950s, I was surrounded by young men returning from World War II with a spark of entrepreneurial ambition. My father ran a data processing service bureau, our neighbors owned a stereo store, and Pete's humble fruit stand was beginning just down the street. These businesses shaped our community and have become cherished family legacies—stories that deserve to be remembered and shared.
My final inspiration was visiting my parents and in-laws in senior communities toward the end of their lives. I was struck by how much people loved to talk about their experiences and tell stories about their lives. I have wanted to offer a service to seniors to help them write their stories to leave as a legacy for their grandchildren and family members. I include people with early-stage dementia within this service.
The process of writing your legacy book is straightforward:
Part 1: We start by working on an outline together; I then conduct interviews and write the first draft of your book. You review, and we make changes. Then, after your approval, I send your completed manuscript to the OUR LEGACY book publishers.
Part 2: The OUR LEGACY team then does the cover design, layout, proofreading, ebook creation, a final review by you, and then off to press, with 50 copies arriving in 4-6 weeks.
Everyone has a story to write. Everyone has a legacy to pass on. I can’t wait to read yours.
